  Basically, this is a good microwave ... but NOT a good convection oven. Twice now I have tried conventional (convection) cooking ... and the food was NOT NEAR done in the anticipated cooking time. Oddly enough, convection SHOULD be FASTER than conventional cooking. Not with this oven. And, I agree the controls take some getting used to. They are not as complicated as some reviews suggested, but they are much different than most controls you are used to. This is an attractive oven, and it serves well as a microwave ... but do not expect much from the convection feature. All in all, it is far too expensive for just a microwave. Therefore, I would NOT recommend it.

  This replaces a toaster oven, a grill and your microwave. I will not say that this is the best device that has ever been made but for the price it is a good value for what you get and it only takes the counter space of a microwave. The mirowave is not the most powerful but we have learned to adjust about 20-30 seconds more for most instructions on food and the convection and grill do what they should if you follow the directions even though we don't use them often. This has lasted over a year and a half and it fit in the small cubby to the side of the kitchen so it fit our needs and it looks good to boot, I would think that this would be a must have if you live in a tiny apartment and it would probablly work well in a dorm room for those small meals you want to throw together.

  I purchased this microwave 7 months ago and after barely using it , the thing doesn't heat anymore. I just contacted Sanyo, but after seeing other reviews I have my doubts I will get anything resolved. This is my first time ever rating a product,because I'm that mad. Someone better stand by their one year parts and warranty.

  This machine is horrible! We haven't even had a year and the start button fell off, called Sanyo and they were of no help. Stay away from purchasing anything from them! SO unhappy with this purchase!
